The Beatles
Jon Lennon, Paul McCartney and George Harrison were all raised in Liverpool England where they went to school they went through several drummers before they found Ringo Starr. Influences to all of them were Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, Bob Dylan, and chuck berry all had some affect on there inspiration each of there songs. Though they were from England they didn’t have much luck there so they went to Hamburg for a while and played at bars and clubs where there popularity. The Beatles published their first album in February 11 1963 called meet the Beatles. On February 7 1964 the Beatles travelled to New York for a number of us. television appearances and performances when they reached the JFK airport they noticed thousands of screaming fans awaiting they thought that they must have bean on a plane with someone famous before they realized that it was them being cheered on. In Washington dc coliseum the Beatles made their first live stage appearance in the United States. The Beatles where introduced to LSD when Jon Lennon and George Harrison with their wives went to a friends house to sit down and have a cup of coffee their friend happend to have some LSD (back when it was legal in england) thinking it was a sweetener he put it in their coffee after drinking their coffee in 1965 they began to experiment with LSD ringo and paul where more hesitant to try LSD. because of the illusions the LSD gave them, they where inspired to write songs based on LSD trips such as "lucy in the sky with diamonds". the same year the beatles performed their last concert together their fortune took a turn for the worse brian epstian the bands manager passed away in 1969 they recorded their last album togther abbey road named after the studio where they recorded their albums after they broke up in 1970 Jon lennon was murdered in 1980 by a fan with a gun this ended the posibility of the beatles getting back together. some of the beatles old records like sargents lonely hearts club band where remastered with effects and now are considered to be some of the greatest hits of the beatles. Each individual member brought a certain charicteristic to the band and when they split up they all made their own albums George harrison had become intrested in indian music and eventualy bought a citaur and recorded many songs with it in his album "all things must pass" jon lennon, ringo starr and paul mcCartney also each made solo albums. George harrison died in las vegas 2004. paul mcCartney and ringo starr are still alive but paul is the only one that still plays music
